Mission & Vision
Transforming Life Church is committed to meeting the spiritual and practical needs of our community by providing a spiritual hospital to those who are hurting through the life changing power of the gospel and by raising up devoted followers of Christ who love God and love people (Matthew 28:19, Matthew 22:37-39). We endeavor to model ourselves after the five functions upon which Jesus founded the first century church: Connect, Grow, Serve, Go, and Worship.
CONNECT: A church where everyone feels welcome, valued and loved through meaningful relationships
GROW: A church that develops Spirit empowered disciples and teaches them to love God, His Word, His mission and others.
SERVE: A church that encourages everyone to use their gifts and talents to serve others
GO: A church that actively shares the love of Christ
WORSHIP: A church where worship is alive and transforming
TLC - Loving God, Loving People , Sharing Hope
Our mission is to worship the Lord with all we have, to win the lost, to train believers to become disciples using their gifts and talents , and to find opportunities to connect with fellow believers.
Our 7 core values give our membership a sense of direction and awareness of what matters most to our church. We are doers of the Word through:
Authentic Worship
A Welcoming Culture
Genuine Relationships
Gracefully Serving
Sharing Christ
Intentional Discipleship
Being Spirit Led
Our Purpose
To KNOW Him - By making the decision to follow Christ as your Lord and Savior, by talking to Him (we call that prayer), and by spending time with Him. These are simply the way to know God. Much like the same way you get to know people. When you spend time getting to know someone, you know what their likes/dislikes are, what they're passionate about, and who they are as a person. John 8:32 says, "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." John 6:69 says, "Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God."
To SERVE Him - By serving God we take on the true nature of Jesus. Matthew 20:26-28 says, "Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to be great among you, let him be your servant. And whoever desires to be first among you, let him be your slave - just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and give His life as a ransom for many." A servant does what he is told, he is devoted, and he is under authority. A servant realizes there is no greater expression of love, but to serve others! Galatians 5:13 says, "For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." This is one of the greatest ways we can serve God, by serving others!
To TELL OTHERS about Him - We are talking about discipleship (Matthew 28:19), and fulfilling the Great Ccommissoin (Mark 16:14-18). Why is it called the Great Commission? What so great about it? The purpose of any ministry is to glorify God. Matthew 5:16 says, "Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Saint Francis of Assisi said it best, "preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use words." He also said, "it is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching." By telling others about Him we are witnessing. A witness is someone who testifies of the truth he has experienced. So what have you experienced?
