Crystal Byle is the facilitator for this small group. This is a group that the Lord continued to pursue Crystal about starting, to run alongside of any and all people that wanted to live life in freedom from their strongholds, addictions, hurts or hang ups, while also working on her own areas of growth.  Crystal has lived in the Monticello area since January 2021. She moved here with husband, David, and mother, Jan, from Bradenton Florida.  In Bradenton, Crystal and her husband did homeless outreach with a group every Friday Night.  After about a year of being consistent with the community and touching the lives of many, the Holy Spirit began to move amidst the homeless, and they began to ask for help with finding freedom from their strongholds, addictions, hurts and hang ups. Crystal's daughter, age 19 at the time, asked her to help these people find a program that would allow them to successfully find freedom. This began her journey of understanding overcomer/recovery programs. She became active with the Salvation Army Recovery Program where many would go for rehab and then after their graduation there was a small group that met on Friday nights at her church. The group was led by Pastor Gene Mathis and his wife Anita. The Mathis' had a front row seat in understanding the stronghold of addiction and the desire for freedom because their son had been in and out of rehab and prison for many years. It was under the Mathis' leadership that Crystal would attend, learn and grow for the next twelve years.

The other part of Crystal's life that has made her so very passionate about recovery from strongholds and addictions is that her first husband lost his life because of his addiction. This event became Crystal's front row seat to seeing someone destroy their life.

After moving to Monticello in 2021, the Lord impressed on Crystal the need for a Christ-centered small group for our area. Pastors Tim and Beverly Buchholtz welcomed the startup of this group at Transforming Life Church. It is Crystal and David's heart's desire to see this group continue to grow and touch lives with healing and all that God has for each and every one of us.
